A digital debit card is a type of debit card that you can apply for via the Internet Branch or Albaraka Mobile without the need to visit our branches, that does not physically exist and that you can start using from the moment you apply.

All our individual customers can quickly create and use a digital debit card.

You can create your card by selecting the “Digital Cards” option under the “Account and Cards” menu in the Albaraka Mobile app.

Alternatively, you can quickly create a digital debit card via Internet Banking by clicking on the "Digital Debit Card" option under the “Cards” menu. You can access your card details in our Internet Branch.

You can choose the account from which you want to load money. The amount you transfer from the selected account will be deducted from your account and transferred to the account linked to your card, making it ready for use.

To start using the created card, you must set a limit preference and define the limit amount.

You can choose from the following 3 types of limits:

• “I do not want automatic limit transfer. I will make changes to my limit myself”: If you do not make any purchases, your limit will remain on your card until you make a change.
• “The limit remaining on my card will be returned to my account at the end of the day”: The limit you set is automatically reset at the end of the day, whether you make a purchase or not, and the remaining limit is returned to your account. If you want to shop with your card the next day, you will need to transfer the limit again.

“My card limit is renewed every day I set”: This transaction includes an instruction. The limit you set is automatically transferred to your card on the day of each month you specify, without you having to take any action. The balance of the account to which your card is linked must be sufficient for the transaction to take place.

You can cancel your card by selecting the "Transaction Cancellation" option under the "Application/Cancellation" menu in Internet Banking, or by contacting Alo Albaraka.
