In 2023, Albaraka Türk provided support to the Endülüs Reading Project, which started to be implemented with 22 students in Van in 2016 and is currently being implemented in 186 schools in 22 provinces. The project, which consists of volunteer teachers and aims to build a reading culture, virtue and morality along with reading habits, acts with an approach that focuses on student psychology.
In the 2022-2023 academic year, students participating in the Endülüs Reading Project across Turkey finished an average of 18-20 books per month, and students had the opportunity to read and narrate an average of 200 books in an academic year.
Participation Youth Development Project
Albaraka Türk supported the Participation Youth Development Project in order to contribute to education of students affected by the earthquake. Under the auspices of the Finance Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, the Participation Youth Development Project of the Istanbul Finance Center is designed to increase the human resource potential in the Participation Finance sector and to develop talent and certification processes. The Participation Youth Development Project, a special development and certification program that will bring new talents who are qualified and open to global competition, provides young talents with qualified content suitable for both local and international dynamics with expert trainers.
In addition, Albaraka Türk carried out the following activities in 2023:
- Through the Bereket Foundation, Albaraka Türk provided scholarships to a total of 1,453 students, including 1,409 undergraduate and 44 doctoral students.
- Albaraka Türk donated books to the Ministry of Family and Social Services and to libraries and district directorates of national education in various provinces.
- Provided material support to schools across Turkey to improve their physical capacities in line with their needs.
